Wallace Leon Russell, 74 of Danville died Monday, February 25, 2013 in Danville. He was the husband of Elizabeth Salyers Russell.

Born October 17, 1938 in Washington County he was a son of the late Wallace and Alma Whitehouse Russell.

Leon was a member of Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was a retired employee of the State of Kentucky having worked in the State Parks System.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Liz, Leon is survived by one son and his wife, Scott and Libby Russell of Danville, one sister and her husband, Erlene and Milton Nichols of Richmond and two granddaughters, Laura Katherine and Amanda Logan Russell both of Danville.
